How can I cope with failure?

I don’t know how many times we are faced with challenges… or should I better say failures on a daily basis…

Can I share a personal story with you? I can remember when I had moved back to London where I thought that NHS was the only way of getting closer to clients and I had become shortlisted for a job… I was getting prepared for it, I was studying, I was too afraid that I wouldn’t be able to share my experience back from Greece; and then a few days before the interview I got an apologetic email saying that the position was no longer available due to funding cut backs! I WAS DEVASTATED! I literally thought that my career – which technically had not even just begun – was over! I felt so bad on all other areas of my life – no one could speak to me for days…

Watch the following video and you will understand what interpretations I used to make back then which prevented me from coping differently with failure…

Looking back at it now, I can only be grateful for that opportunity which was not given to me, because I would not have been able to be where I’m today!
