Welcome to the Psychotherapeutic Reflections, an online mental health resource giving the opportunity to reflect and share with you ideas, feelings, concepts that might have occurred during psychotherapeutic sessions, information, hints, stories and influential ideas borrowed from books, movies, anything which could be related and beneficial towards self exploration, growth and achievement. Simultaneously Psychotherapeutic Reflections will be able to satisfy readers’ needs with issues related to psychotherapy, and/or continue their journey along with psychotherapy in case their psychotherapeutic sessions have ended.

I am a systemic psychotherapist (the model that reinforces changes not only with individuals but also in their family relationships and beyond, so that children, young people and/or those important to them are supported additionally), who is UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) registered. I have completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology in Athens, Greece and then I carried on with my training at the Institute of Psychiatry, at King’s College London, gaining a postgraduate certificate and a Master of Science in Family Therapy. I did my clinical training at the Maudsley Hospital, (at the Adult Psychotherapy and Older Adults’ Department), at the Lister Primary Care Centre and the Croydon’s Adolescent Mental Health Team. Since 2006 I have been working with individuals, families and couples, acknowledging the contexts of people’s families and other important relationships, while sharing and respecting individuals’ different perspectives, beliefs, views and stories, and exploring possible ways forward.

Having a Greek background but currently living in London, I have come to appreciate and love London’s multi-cultural community, enabling me to become more open-minded and respectful of different ideas, viewpoints, offering me more flexibility, creativity, inspiration and freedom to my work.
